To reduce these difficulties, we offer a range of so called " DYNAMIC " methods basically involving dilution of :
- either pure gas sources :
permeation tubes,
diffusion tubes,
saturation systems or
pure gas bottles.
- or a cylinder with high concentrated blends.
To avoid the stability problems, the " DYNAMIC " methods enable the production of the span gas just before using it . The techniques used are basically flow measurement and regulation, temperature and pressure control, mass and time reading .
Finally this will lead to wide ranges of concentrations, high accuracy's and easy linkage to national standards.

Most common span gases are supplied in steel or aluminum cylinders with a certain amount of limits and problems :
- only one concentration in one cylinder : which we call the " STATIC " method.
- short life and stability problems for low concentration blends.
- poor accuracy's for low (ppm-v) and very low concentrations (ppb-v).
- difficult to produce blends containing high vapor pressure compounds.
